In my documentary photographic project, "κάλλος - kallos," created in May 2023 in Bucharest, I had the privilege of immersing myself in the vibrant Calisthenics scene at Parcul Tineretului. Through my lens, I documented the daily lives and training routines of the dedicated athletes who call this park their second home.
Life in Parcul Tineretului revolves around more than just physical training; it's a tapestry of moments that paint a vivid picture. Children play joyfully on the bars while athletes focus on their exercises. There are humorous moments among the athletes, such as munching on french fries or sharing a smoke break during their rigorous training sessions.
The resulting body of work is not just a collection of photographs; it's a carefully crafted narrative that plays with the medium of the book itself. Each image interacts with the others, weaving a compelling story that goes beyond the visual and delves into the essence of this unique community.
