JONAS GLANZ

is a photographer based in Bielefeld

I work with bodies.
Not to idealize them – but because they carry everything: weight, shame, posture, protection.
I shoot people when styling starts to slip.
When something real pushes through the surface.

Fashion is a language – but I don’t take it at face value.
I’m not interested in what someone wears.
I care about what leaks through when the performance fades.

My work moves between editorial and real life.
Between physical presence and emotional friction.
I didn’t inherit this lens. I picked it up along the way – like everything else.

I don’t need things to be clean.
I need them to hold something.
A question. A moment. A tension that doesn’t resolve.

It’s not perfect out there.
It’s messy, it’s loud, it’s too much.
But it’s real. And that’s what I work with.
